Manistee, and Boardman Rivers Stream Report
The flies-only water above CCC still has tricos from 9am-10am, but we are moving on to terrestrial fishing. Large fish have been hooked in the last few days on mouse patterns after dark as well. Boardman attractor and hopper fishing is very good. Boardman and Manistee have good baetis tricauditus (formerly baetis vagans) #18 coming off in the rain and cooler cloudy days.

WE'RE STILL SUCCESSFULLY RUNNING YELLOW SKUNKS, RUBBER LEGS, AND TERRESTRIALS MIDDAYS. MOVING LOTS OF FISH IN THE HEAT AND WHEN THE SUN FALLS MICE ARE THE KEY.

Streamside Orvis is located at 223 E. Front Street in downtown Traverse City. Stop in and say hello.

Upper Manistee - Flies Only
Great Ron's Yellow Skunk fishing over the past couple of weeks. Big stonefly-like patterns that that are really terrestrial in nature such as Chernobyl Ants, and Big Eye Hoppers are moving some very large fish middays along the log jams. Streamers are finding good fish early in the mornings. Prospect after dark and when the hatch is over if the air stays warm with a big stonefly pattern or drag a mouse. Best attractors are Ron's Yellow Skunk and small yellow Stimulators (#14). Tricos are emerging early mornings. Spinnerfalls are accumulating in the back eddies at first light with a few gulpers.

Boardman River:
Best fishing above Brown Bridge Dam is from the Forks down to Schecks. Tricos above Ranch Rudolf. Below Garfield there is very good fishing in the riffles with nymphs. Best water below Garfield is from Shumskey to the State land. Hopper banks are now moving fish on Schroeder's. Yellow stones are also moving some nice fish. Very good attractor fishing on the upper stretches for brookies.

Trout Patterns:
Best patterns have been Ron's Yellow Skunks #12, Stimulator Yellow #14,Turcks Power Ants #14, BH pheasant tail #16-18.

STREAMER ANGLERS: Streamer anglers are doing best early morning on a variety of colors and patterns. Most are having success from 6-8am.

Forecast:
